Welcome to the Stamford St. Patrick's Day Parade!

Making an Impact Across the community

The Irish-American Cultural Society of Stamford (IACSOS) was formed to celebrate the American immigration story and the positive influence Irish people have on our community.  From civic, religious, philanthropic and business leaders, to noteworthy musicians, dancers, artists and writers, and gifted people with talents of every kind, the tapestry that is our community is woven with vibrant and rich threads of immigrants who have made an indelible mark on our culture and our lives.

One of the many ways the IACSOS makes an impact in the Stamford community and beyond each year is by bringing together tens of thousands of people from the city and region to The Stamford St. Patrick’s Day Grand Marshal’s Dinner and Parade.  These truly inclusive events celebrate the coming of spring and the fact that “everybody is Irish on St. Patrick’s Day!”

St. Patrick is venerated as the patron saint of Ireland because he is credited with being the first bishop and the founder of Christianity in Ireland. The Irish American Cultural Society of Stamford (IACSOS) is credited with bringing the Stamford St. Patrick’s Day Grand Marshal’s Dinner and Parade to Stamford and the surrounding communities every year.
The IACSOS is a volunteer-driven 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. We receive no city, state, or federal funds. We are solely run with donations from the private sector. We rely on the generosity of people like you to bring the Dinner and Parade to our community!
